Despite having been around the longest, the traditional appearance of wood remains highly desirable, especially over the plastic appearance of UPVC.
Emerald Builders will be happy to replace your old doors or windows with wooden replacements, which may be more in keeping with your home, as opposed to the UPVC double glazed replacement.

Composite Windows and Doors: Composite is the newest type of material used in homes.
Composite is made up from a variety of materials, including PVC, wood, insulating foam and glass reinforced plastic.
The combination of materials result in a door that is very strong and secure.
Composite back and front doors and windows have a high resistance to weathering and will not react to seasonal change and has a higher thermal resistance than wooden doors, due to the insulating foam core, helping to keep your home more energy efficient.

Composite doors and windows provide, and are designed to look like real wood, with an attractive wood grain, without the real wood maintenance.
They are virtually maintenance free, only requiring a sponge and soapy water to clean.
They are extremely hard wearing thanks to the materials used to manufacture them and this means they will not warp, twist, fade or discolour.
They are designed to be significantly more secure and more hard wearing than typical UPVC doors. All come with Multipoint locks as standard.
